I like to read books. I read digitally because it's highly convenient in numerous ways, and I also keep a digital Zettelkasten using Obsidian. Therefore, my reading is quite confined to my computer. This does mean that I can't just bring my book everywhere and read it whenever I want, increasing the friction to reading, and thus, causing poor consistency. I wanted to read more, but the friction it took was often too much when my motivation was already low. So, using principles from Atomic Habits, I redesigned my desktop environment to make it easier.
I also have multiple topics I like to read about, such as programming and Marxism-Leninism.
I began by creating a popup window using ElKowar's Wacky Widgets (Eww) that appears when I press a keybind.
